Forgotten and forgottten.

A World of Dollar Shops 2026-10-11 [Sun] 17:40

Somehow I kept up writing at least one post every month so far.

Recently, I've seen someone aptly compared AI-generated contents to dollar shop stuff. They're cheap, does the job, and sometimes that's really what's needed. In some sense, dollar shops "democratized" shopping, making expensive things accessible to us. They probably made some business run out, sure, but generally we're happy to have them around. And honestly the variety of stuff they made is just amazing. Maybe we should keep dreaming, and one day we might have a car made in one dollar... right?

Right, I was talking about AI. I found some people are totally happy with AI slop, just like they are happy with dollar store stuff. They might not be proud of it, but hey, that's what life brings to us. Who am I to complain? Maybe we should keep dreaming, and one day we have most contents generated by AI, because the price is king... right?
